Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use the Immplify passport and visa photo checker at tools.immplify.com. By using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who we are

The photo checker is run by DocuComb INC, a Delaware corporation ("Immplify", "we", "us"). You can reach us at support@immplify.com.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for the US Department of State, any embassy or consulate, or any other government agency.

What the service does

  • Free check. You upload or take a photo, and we check it against about 37 rules. These rules come from official photo requirements plus our own quality thresholds.
  • Paid download. If your photo can be fixed, you can buy a corrected digital file and a printable 4×6 sheet with cut marks. Before you pay, you see a watermarked, low-resolution preview.
  • Corrections we make. We crop, resize, and adjust file format, file size and resolution. We replace the background only if you choose that option before paying. We never retouch your face or body: no skin smoothing, no reshaping.
  • Photos we can't fix. If a photo can't be corrected, we tell you why and how to retake it. We don't sell anything for that photo.

At launch, we support these US documents only: US visa (DS-160, digital), US passport online renewal (digital), US passport (printed photo) and US immigrant visa (printed photo). We don't support the DV Lottery or USCIS / Green Card forms.

You don't need an account to use the service.

No guarantee of acceptance

The government office handling your application always makes the final decision on whether your photo is acceptable. Our check reduces the risk of rejection, but we can't guarantee acceptance. Our money-back guarantee is described in the Refund Policy.

Price and payment

A corrected photo costs $7.99 per photo[, plus any applicable sales tax]. The price is shown before you pay.

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, we place a hold on your card. We only charge it after your corrected photo has been successfully produced. If that fails, the hold is released and you are not charged.

Delivery and re-downloads

Your corrected files download instantly in your browser. You can download them again for 24 hours, up to 5 times, using your payment reference. After that, the files are no longer available, because we don't keep your photo. Please save your files straight away.

What you agree to

  • Recent, unedited photo. When you pay, you confirm that the photo was taken in the last 6 months and has no filters or retouching.
  • Right to upload. You only upload photos of yourself, or of someone you are authorised to act for, such as your child if you are their parent or guardian.
  • Choose the right document. You select the correct document type for your application.
  • Other documents are your responsibility. Some applications need extra paperwork, such as a signed statement for religious headwear or a doctor's note for medical glasses. You are responsible for these. We never collect them.
  • Fair use. You won't use the service unlawfully or abusively, upload content you have no right to use, try to break or overload it, or access it with bots, scrapers or other automated tools. We use a bot check and rate limits, and we may block access that breaks these rules.

Our content

The service, its software, design and text belong to Immplify. You may use the corrected photos you buy for your own applications, or for the person you acted for. Your photo stays yours.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as travel costs, missed appointments, application fees or delays. Our total liability for any claim about a photo is limited to the amount you paid for that photo. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.

Changes to the service or these terms

We may update the service or these terms. We'll change the "last updated" date when we do. The terms in force when you made a purchase apply to that purchase.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. The state and federal courts in Wilmington, Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, unless your local consumer laws say otherwise. Disputes are also subject to the arbitration and class-action waiver provisions in our main Terms of Service at www.immplify.com/terms-of-service.
