How to upload civil documents to the NVC

The National Visa Center reviews each civil document as its own upload. Scan in color, keep each document whole, and stay under the per-file limit.

Questions, answered

Why is my file rejected?

Most rejections are size or format. Compress the PDF and try again.

Can I upload a phone photo?

A clear, flat, well-lit photo converted to PDF usually works. Avoid shadows and cut-off edges.

Does this tool send my documents to the NVC?

No. Files are prepared on your device. You upload them yourself.
