How to prepare bank statements for a visa application

Financial evidence usually means several months of statements. Combine them into one ordered file, hide what isn’t needed where that’s allowed, and fit the portal’s size limit.

  • Redacting balances or your name — those are what officers check.
  • Screenshots instead of official statements.
  • One huge file that’s over the size limit.

Questions, answered

Should I redact my account number?

Only if your application’s instructions allow it. Some require full statements. When in doubt, ask an expert.

Is black-box redaction safe?

Only if the text underneath is deleted. Immplify’s Redact flattens pages so the hidden text is gone.

How many months do I need?

It depends on the visa. Check the instructions for your application.
